What Our Clients Have To Say

PURCHASE THIS COURSE!

You will work through hundreds of questions in the program which really helps. I have spent 12 hours with the online class…7 hours yesterday. I was sick to my stomach after flunking a few sections….. now I feel confident that I am getting it after going over the touch sections several times and getting 100 on the test. Great program!

TOTALLY IMPRESSED

Totally impressed with the way the program was put together and now, with the UAV program, I'll be passing this on to all of the business contacts who might benefit from this course. EXCELLENT!!! Thank you...

USER FRIENDLY

I joined the Gold Seal course and started browsing through the lessons. They are superbly done and the information is easily digestible. The graphics make sense and give the exact information needed for the subject matter at hand without giving you too much. Trust me when I say Aviation can become overwhelming in about 2.5 seconds when you're being bombarded with new terms, processes, and definitions all at once.

Become A Commercial Drone Pilot

To fly your drone commercially you must pass the FAA written exam and get your Remote Pilot certificate, or drone license. Commercial UAS pilots fly under a subset of the FAA regulations called Part 107. Any unmanned flights that involve payment or are in furtherance of a business or organization fall under the Part 107 sUAS rules. Note that even if you fly for free and donate your services if the ultimate use is commercial, you fall into the commercial drone pilot category and must have a commercial pilot license (which is formally a “certificate”) to fly unmanned aircraft.

What is the Part 107 Test Like?

The FAA Commercial Drone Knowledge test for the Remote Pilot certificate contains sixty multiple choice questions. It is conducted on the computer at a FAA authorized testing center. You are given two hours to complete the exam. The test covers a wide variety of aeronautical topics including aerodynamics, aeronautical decision making, risk management, the national airspace system, sectional charts, airport operations, weather theory, weather charts, emergency procedures, and (of course) the Federal Aviation Regulations covered in Part 107.

Where Do I Take the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Test?

The Part 107 test is taken at an authorized testing center. There are hundreds of them around the country so it is likely that one may be close to you. The tests are conducted by two companies: CATS and PSI Lasergrade. When you are ready to schedule your exam, call both companies, provide your zip code, and they will tell you the closest location. Schedule it over the phone with your credit card. The cost for the FAA exam is $150. You may call CATS at 800-947-4228. Call PSI Lasergrade at 800-211-2754.
